Public Relations Director:
Luong Tran

Luong has been a member in PHPSA since Fall of 2010. She is now a 4th year at SFSU with a Major in Biology.

Aside from PHPSA, she has been a part of HEAL (Health Education and Access Link), an organization on campus that is dedicated to providing awareness to make health care more accessible to all, especially the underserved. In addition, she also helps NSA (Nursing Students’ Association) at SFSU. She has volunteered with various events with them, through either blood drives or the Pinning and Hooding Ceremony for the graduating Nursing Students.

Most of all, she is passionate about volunteering in UCSF Hospital Medical Center. She has been a volunteer since the summer of 2010. She loves having the opportunity to interact and assist the Nurses and Staff with various tasks such as making sure specimens gets to the laboratory by the tube system in the Emergency Department, scanning orders to the pharmacy, and escorting the patients to the lobby when discharged by wheelchair.

Since then, she has enjoyed lending her time to helping and talking to patients. She hopes to learn more about the health community.

On her free time, she enjoys exploring San Francisco. She especially enjoys when she has the chance to do arts and crafts, making birthday cards and thank you notes for people in her life.
