Vanessa Hernandez

Vanessa has been a member of PHPSA since Fall of 2013. She is now a 2nd year, major in Biology emphasis in Physiology.

 She is very passionate of pursuing the health- profession field, hoping that she can help those in need, and make a difference in life. She has decided to take the charity organizer role for PHPSA to reach out to our members, and to give back to our community by hosting charity events. She is extremely motivated to help our members to have a memorable experience through PHPSA and, support them on their journey of pursuing the health- profession field.

  She has decided to become a volunteer member of UCSF Hospital Medical Center. Soon, She will be volunteering in the kids department while experiencing the medical environment. She is extremely enthusiastic to be able to work with children due to her interest in pediatric medicine. Through volunteering and being part of pre-health professions student alliance, She hopes to extend her knowledge in regards to the health community.

In her free time, she stays active by participating in various physical activities such as: boxing, playing soccer, and running. She also enjoys reading, and watching spots games, and loves drinking coffee… a lot of coffee. Most importantly she loves to spend time with her family, and close friends.
