Welcome to ASME@SFSU

8 March 2012

Hello--

ASME @ SFSU will be holding our next General Meeting NEXT WEEK!

ASME @ SFSU General Meeting
Wednesday, 3/14/12 at 1pm
SCI 164

We'll be talking about a few upcoming ASME events around the Bay, including-

-Tour of Scandic in San Leandro (March 23, 10am)
A former SFSU Student will be giving us a tour of the largest spring and stamping company in Northern California. Scandic makes coil springs, various stampings and CNC wireforming, so don't miss this great opportunity to see how thing get made in the real world! We'll organize transportation at the meeting, so let us know if you'd like to attend!

- ASME's Student Professional Development Conference-
http://events.asme.org/SPDC/

This is a pretty big event, it's open to both students and Professionals in industry, and should be a great opportunity to see what other students are up to and network with important people! It's only open to members of the National ASME club, so maybe it's time to...

-Learn what ASME's national club has to offer-
Our free-to-join student section is great, but if you're interested there's lots of great reasons to join the national club too! Come and hear some of them, Membership is FREE to Freshman.

-Plan Tour of TESLA Motors
We're still kicking around potential dates, so if you'd like to come, come to the meeting and cast your vote for:
4/19, 4/20, 4/26, and 4/27 (Thursdays and Fridays).

-Trike Update
The ASME/Whirlwind trike is on three wheels, and almost ready to ride!

Hope we see you there!
